As we're approaching the new year, let's recap 2025. To be honest, this year has been a real whirlwind and while I'm healthy and all (and very grateful about it!) I’m still wondering how I managed to make it till the end in one piece.

➡️ On the personal level. 🙋‍♀️ From learning how to ski and then ice skating, wearing Invisalign 24/7, buying a place in Stockholm, move from Canada to Sweden with 2 little ones, downsizing (hello Europe!) and start from scratch again, renovate and furnish an empty place, put the kids in a new school in Swedish (thank god I myself still speak Swedish so all good in this regard), then create my own company DCT in Sweden (waaaayyyy more difficult than it was in Canada). And in the middle of that? Battling with a restless and sleepless 2-year-old and trying all the sleep trainings we can. I finished the year in the dark, Sweden having no more than half an hour of sunshine up to the 20th December as I speak.

➡️ On the food level. 👩‍🍳 Oh, and I forgot to mention the food!! Well, I barely had time to try out new recipes in the second half of the year after we moved to our new place, and I feel so frustrated about it. While in the process of creating my own company here, I had to wait until I could buy new kitchen appliances (I left everything behind in Canada because it’s not compatible with Europe). So basically I have a whisk to bake and a few pans to cook, that’s all! Oh, and 2025 really marks a shift for us all food bloggers with AI. We’re all hanging tight here, but for now it’s not looking very good and directly impacts us in the industry. I finished 2025 by signing for a new kitchen remodel for our home and I’m so excited to see it put together in the first quarter of 2026, it’s going to look so nice. I'll keep you posted!

➡️ Now onto 2026! I'll finish here by saying how grateful I am to have such an amazing community here. I know you trust Del's Cooking Twist recipes, and use the website as a trustworthy source of recipes, and that makes me so extremely happy!!
